Remember how I made that offer?
After a week of offers and counter offers, and a day of more drama and phone calls and negotiations, I have decided to pull out of the deal. It's a great place, but my instincts are telling me that something...just isn't right, and I do not want to make the biggest purchase of my life just because I can, only to regret it later.
Am I disappointed? Sure. Am I giving up the search? Of course not. I am sure I will find the right place for me - a place in which I can put up pictures of my nieces and my Buffy musical poster, paint the walls cobalt blue or sage if I feel so inclined, cook and bake to my heart's content, and knit up a storm.
Good move to follow your instincts. Gotta love it enough to go through hell, like my friends who, the day before closing discovered previous owner had a boyfirend there for 7 years, making him a common-law husband in Missouri, so he had to sign off on the deal too. No deal goes smoothly, but you can't go through that for a place you aren't crazed about.

Wow! Sorry to hear the place gave you a bad vibe in the end. I definitely think you've got the right attitude, though. :)

You made the right move. Good luck in your search!
... and I have a Buffy musical poster, as well. I still mourn the loss of that show.

Sorry there won't be a painting party as of yet, but you're right to follow your gut feelings on this one.
