Does my camera, Man Ray, see ghosts? How about orbs?
The following photos were taken last night at the USC Alumni Club Rose Bowl Viewing Party (SHUT UP). It was held at the Los Angeles Athletic Club, a venerable site established in 1880 and located in Downtown.
The settings of my camera (a Minolta Dimage Z1) were unchanged between photos, and the flash was set on Auto.
This photo was taken sometime when we were all standing up and cheering (again, SHUT UP).
Notice that there are no unusual lights, and that my lens appears to be clean and free of smudges.
This photo was taken later at a point when, again, we were all cheering (I'm serious - SHUT UP). The camera is facing in the same direction as in the above photo, but just slightly to the left.
LOOK! Those spots sure don't look like dust - they look like orbs! Big ones, small ones! Orbs of light EVERYWHERE!
I've taken more photos than I can count in a myriad of indoor and outdoor settings with and without flash, and I've NEVER seen anything like this. What do you think?
Is this a case of Flash Settings Gone Mad? Orbs Gone Wild? Indisputable visual evidence of our collective hopes for a Rose Bowl victory actually LEAVING our bodies as if they KNEW they were going to be dashed, and thus fleeing to save themselves? (Look - I had to say it before someone else did.)
And if anyone comments on how happy we 'SC people looked right before our defeat, I will personally come over and PUNCH YOU IN THE FUCKING THROAT I SWEAR TO GOD.
