No Canter's For You!

Here's what Canter's looked like on Monday night...from the passenger seat of Nara's car as we drove by it because we couldn't find parking and the line was out the door and down the block because EVERYONE IN L.A. wanted in on the Canter's 75th Anniversary Meal for 75 cents, too. 

Oh, well.  Guess I'll be back in ten years for the 85th Anniversary Meal, then.

My Favorite Picture

I take a lot of pictures.  A LOT.  This one, taken last Wednesday (3/15), is probably one of my favorites.  It's definitely my most favorite of my niece and me.

Location: A store at Melrose and Edinburgh, West Hollywood.  I usually don't go for the overly detailed or colorful, but these just called out to me.  And no, I didn't buy them.

This Is How We Do It In the SoCal, Bitches

Today was the first time I had a proper Double-Double (hold the tomato and onions, please) from In-n-Out Burger since I got back on the red meat bandwagon.

Oh, In-n-Out, how I've missed thee!

Yes, I ate this at work, and YES I took a bite out of my burger before I took the picture, thus ruining the unsullied perfection of my Double-Double, fries and vanilla shake that I was trying to capture in a photo I'd like to call Still Life of Southern California Fast Food.

Looking at it now, I think the bite mark just gives the picture character.

I'd Call That Ill-Advised

Bad: A bar right by a freeway onramp.

Worse: A bar right by a freeway onramp with not one but TWO Happy Hours, the first from 7-10 a.m.  That's right - IN THE MORNING.
